One evening by the Soča. For the body to breathe out.
A sound bath, rapé, sacred Amazonian icaros and individual work with Maestro Yaguar Ura from Peru. No ayahuasca. No psychedelic plants. Just sound, presence, breath and the ancient Kukama tradition.
This evening is for the body carrying too much. Shoulders, chest, jaw, restless sleep, thoughts that won’t stop. It is not about trying harder. It is about giving the body the conditions it needs to finally let go.
19.June 2026 · Camp Lazar, Trnovo ob Soči · 18.00–21.30
Small circle · 16 places · 100 € per person
A sound bath and Amazonian icaros do not usually share the same room.
A sound bath works through vibration, frequency and rhythm. Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, a shamanic drum, guitar and voice create a space in which the body often begins to settle on its own.
Icaros come from a different tradition entirely. They are the sacred songs of the Amazonian forest, carried by Maestro Yaguar Ura from the Kukama lineage. In them: voice, intention, and over thirty years of working with people.
For one evening, both meet in the same circle by the Soča.
18.00–18.30
The evening opens with rapé, an indigenous Amazonian practice led by Maestro Yaguar Ura.
Rapé is a finely ground botanical snuff used in Amazonian traditions for grounding, settling the mind and preparing the ground for the ceremony ahead.
Rapé is not a psychedelic. It does not act on the system the way ayahuasca or psilocybin do. It is offered, never required. Those who wish to receive it do so individually. Those who prefer not to are welcome for the full evening without it.
18.30–20.00
The sound bath follows, led by Izidor Benčina.
Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, a shamanic drum, guitar and voice enter slowly. Sound layers. The room settles. The body is given time to put tension down.
During the sound bath, Maestro Yaguar Ura moves to each participant in turn and performs individual energy clearing. In his tradition, this practice is called chupada.
A few minutes. One to one. Silence and presence, held within the safety of the group circle.
20.00–21.30
In the final part of the evening, Maestro Yaguar Ura leads work with icaros, the sacred songs of the Kukama tradition.
This is the part of the evening that is difficult to describe beforehand. Some experience it as stillness. Others as emotional release. Others as contact with layers of themselves that daily life rarely reaches.
Afterwards, we sit in silence for a time. Whoever wishes to share their experience may. Whoever wishes to remain quiet, does.
Izidor Benčina is a sound therapist and the founder of VBOS Spiritus in Ljubljana.
He trained as a mechanical engineer. He spent several years working in technical and financial environments before a personal experience brought him to sound and body work.
He first met Maestro Yaguar Ura in the Peruvian Amazon. Later, in Nepal, he worked further with sound, frequency and voice.
He now leads individual and group sound sessions at Axis Center in Ljubljana and at various locations across Slovenia and Croatia.
Maestro Yaguar Ura is an Amazonian healer from the Kukama tradition, from the area around Iquitos in Peru.
He was born by the Marañón river, in Kukama territory. He began learning from his grandfather as a child and continued along the ancestral line.
He has worked with master plants, dietas, icaros and ceremony for several decades. His plants include Chiric Sanango, Piñon Colorado, Bobinsana and Ajo Sacha.
He has been leading ceremonies for more than thirty years. His circles in Peru are small, personal and conducted with care. This is his first time in Europe and in Slovenia.
"The sound bath was a deeply transformative experience for me. Izidor is extremely subtle in his ability to perceive energy and uses sound to give you exactly what you need in that moment. He creates a safe space where you can let go."
"The sound bath at Izidor's helped me relax and reconnect with my body. The effects of cleansing and alignment lasted for days after the session 🥰"
"If you want to calm down your nervous system, this is the right place for you 👌"
This evening is for you if your body has been carrying tension for a long time and if you need to settle. It asks only that you are open to working with sound, the body and the Amazonian tradition.
If you have already addressed chronic tension through your way of life and through facing your own shadow, the practice can be a strong support for deeper contact with the unconscious, which may offer clarity on where to go next, in work, in relationships, in health.
It is also suitable if you have never attended a sound bath before. You do not need to know anything. You do not need to achieve anything. Arrive, lie down and allow the body to respond in its own way.
Important: This evening is not an ayahuasca ceremony. If you are looking for ayahuasca, this is not the right event.
A sound bath is gentle and does not replace medical treatment, therapy or medication. It can hold space for releasing tension, settling and coming back into contact with what the body is carrying.
Rapé is optional. If you prefer not to receive it, you are welcome for the full evening without it.
Do not receive rapé if you:
If you are currently in an active psychiatric crisis or have significant health concerns, please consult your GP before registering and write to me directly so we can assess together whether this evening is appropriate for you.
